Exciting news!!

Hi All, I'm so excited to share with you that I'm a new Grandma! My DD had a beautiful baby boy, he is a "little" guy weighing in at a whopping 9.2 lbs! lol His name is Ethan Corey. His sisters gave him his first bath in the hospital and said that he has dark hair and beautiful blue eyes with chubby cheeks! I made this card a few months ago waiting for their new bundle of joy! Hope you like it! :)

Jessie's 14th Birthday card!

I'm on a roll, my daughter is going to be so impressed, 2 cards finished in 2 days...and uploaded! lol This is my version of the card example in the Rock Princess cartridge handbook. I used my Imagine for the skull, crossbones and rebel, one piece of white cardstock and viola you are done! I love my Imagine!

I added glossy accents to the bow and rebel,
add the stars with my i-rock
(1000 pieces of iron on embellishments on clearance at Wal-Mart for a $1.00)

The inside, more ribbon and a couple of stamp sets I got at Michaels.

Have a great day!

My baby is 19 today!

Hi my fellow crafters! Today is my baby's 19th birthday! My baby is all grown up! I had no idea what kind of card I was going to make my daughter. Truth be told, she was marked off "my list" after she didn't like my "non traditional" Halloween card! lol So when I told her she was going to get a store bought card she got offended, so I put her back on the list! lol She loves zebra stripes and hot pink, that's how she decorated her dorm room last year for her freshman year. So here is the card I came up with, well actually it's the second card, because the first one didn't have enough zebra on it! lol

I think this has enough zebra stripes, don't you? ;)

Inside of the card, before all I wrote all the gushy stuff!

Recipe (A2)
The papers used were from DCWV, love the glittery zebra stripes!
The flower is made from the Cuttlebug quilled daisy kit.
I added pearlized Smooch Spritz to give it shimmer!
I used Emma's  stamp set Wow! So many candles
for the inside and outside sentiments.
Then used my new Spellbinders Shapabilities
for an added pop for the sentiment.

Thanks, as always, for stopping by!

Cards for precious Marley!

The other day I was on the PBD message board and came across a post by Madison (funkycards) asking for help. She has started a project called  "I Feel the Love Project" and every month she picks someone who is experiencing a personal crisis.  I love this idea, as Madison states, it's a way to "spread the love one card at a time"! Madison is an exceptional 16 year old, I was very impressed that she was so thoughtful to want to put together this project for those in need! This month (July) she is collecting cards for Marley, she is an adorable little 3 year old who has been battling with a brain tumor. She has had to deal with so much, more than any 3 year old should ever have to go through! I was more than happy to help and decided to make a card for Marley and her sister! I thought that the whole Sesame Street gang would bring a smile to Marley's face! Then I chose to make a Hello Kitty card for her sister to brighten her day also!

This is the card I made for sweet Marley!

This is the card I made for Mia, Marley's older sister.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will stop by Madison's blog
to read more about Marley's story and how you can help!

Pink By Design treat box!

Hi all! I finally finished my treat box that we made with Sarah on her Ustream the other day. It has been sitting on my desk and I kept looking at it deciding what to do with it. I decided to make a treat box for my daughter's furbaby, I guess that makes her our grand furbaby! lol My daughter is due any time now with our first grandson! So I thought I would add this box for Macy in the next package I send her for the baby!
If you would like the recipe for the homemade dog treats click here.

I cut this all out on my Imagine! I love, love, love this machine!
I cut the dog and all the pieces from Nate's ABCs at 3"
I added stickles to the collar and the grass,
then added glossy accents to Macy
I added the paw rub on next to stickers that make up "Macy"
I hope you like Macy's treat box,
knowing her she will rip into it to get to the treats!
It's a good thing I tied it with ribbon! lol

Lindsay's birthday card using Rock Princess!

Here is another teenager card (actually she isn't a "teen" anymore lol) using the Rock Princess cartridge! I really love this cartridge, can you tell?! I think it's a great cartridge for teenagers! This cartridge suits her personality as well as her friends (earlier post) to a tee! Stay tuned, I will be making a birthday card for my granddaughter, again using this wonderful cartridge!

I loved how this turned out, of course I had to add stickles to bling it up! ;)

The inside of the card, she loves these cherries!

Card recipe
Card base is an A6 (4.5 x 6.25)
Skull with headphones and layers (pg 70) cut at 2.5"
I also used the stars cuttlebug folder for the front 2 strips
The inside skull cherries (pg 74) are cut at 2.5"
I added stickles on the headphones, eyes and cherry stem
Glossy accents was used on nose (front) eyes and teeth (inside)

Hannah's birthday card!

It's been awhile since I've posted anything. I have to stay out of the blog world and start crafting more! lol I made this card for my daughter's friend Hannah, and yes that is a grenade! lol She has a necklace with a small grenade on it and I thought it was so cute (if you can say that grenades are cute lol) I wanted to make that as part of her card. I know this card isn't your typical birthday card, but it's so Hannah! I hope she likes it!

The "rock on" hands are from the Rock Princess cut at 2.75
I cut the grenade at 2.00 from Indie Art
Card base is Kraft paper cut at 4.5 x 5
The saying is from My Creative Time Wow! So Many Candles stamp set
The star and other circles are from a pack of iron on studs that I got for $1.00!
I read that someone was using the iron on studs
and using them with their i-Rock.
I decided to give it a try and it worked perfectly!

Thanks for stopping by! I will post more projects soon! ;)

Matthew's birthday card

I recently bought Nate's ABCs cartridge. I love the artwork it's so adorable and so darn cute! I couldn't wait to use it! I had an idea to make a card out of the car that's on pg. 21, and this is what I came up with...

I used my gypsy to weld the two images together.
Then added some jumbo rain dots (by Cloud9 Designs)
to  give the headlights some dimension,
blinged out the grill, used some diamond glaze on the "oh boy" saying.
I just love how the tires came out, aren't they the cutest?! lol
I used the Cuttlebug herringbone folder.
I thought they looked just like tire tread!

Thanks for looking at my latest creation!

Get well card!

I made this get well card for my 11 year old niece. She had to go to the hospital to have 10 teeth extracted, 3 of which were wrapped around the bone! My brother was asking her if they had Xs on them, how else would they know which ones to remove? lol

I used the B is for Boy Cricut lite cartridge for the teeth, owie and the band aid.

and then popped her up for added dimension.
I put stickles on her dress, shoes, purse and jewelry.
I used my i-rock on the purse. I love using the i-rock!
I added some ribbon, punched the boarder and
then dressed it up with some jewels.

Cake balls for Delaney's party!

I thought I would share a recipe that I made for Delaney's birthday party. It's fairly easy to make, the hardest part is dipping them in chocolate. I used a Betty Crocker yellow cake mix, whipped butter cream frosting and chocolate wafers. You will also need wooden skewers, or an egg separator for dipping the cake balls into the melted chocolate.

v  Bake cake as directed
v  Let the cake cool for at least half an hour
v  Crumble the cake and add whipped frosting
v  Put this mixture in the refrigerator, covered, for at least 3 hours
v  Roll the cake mixture into balls, put on cookie sheet lined with wax paper
v  Place into freezer for at least an hour
v  Melt chocolate wafers
v  Dip the balls into the melted chocolate
v  Place in refrigerator to set.

These were a hit at the party!

 Some other examples:
Strawberry cake, white frosting, dipped in dark chocolate
(taste like chocolate covered strawberries)
German chocolate cake, pecan coconut frosting, dipped in chocolate almond bark
Red velvet cake, cream cheese frosting, dipped in chocolate or white chocolate
 So many yummy possibilities! :)

Enjoy!

I was so excited to receive my "made with love" birthday present from my daughter today! She made this cute card and this adorable jelly bean jar that was decorated so sweet!
